As a club, we are proud to announce that NY HOTA Bavarian SC has officially joined the National Academy League, a step that reinforces our commitment to offering players top-level development and elite competition opportunities.
In addition to our new NAL affiliation, NY HOTA teams continue to compete in the top divisions of EDP, showcasing our players’ talent and dedication across one of the region’s most competitive leagues.
Congratulations to our 2008 HOTA and Eastern New York ODP boys — Austin, Christian, Otto, and Sean — on being selected to represent the East Region in Orlando this January. This elite honor is a tremendous accomplishment and a proud moment for our players and the club!
On June 2, 2024, NY HOTA Bavarian SC defeated the Massapequa Boltz 3–0 in the Peter Collins Cup final at Stringham Park, LaGrange. Goals from Sebastian Knight, Marco Pantano, and Londel Wheeler, along with a shutout from goalkeeper Shane Anatao, sealed the win.
Coach Scott Knight praised his team’s composure, possession, and game management against a tough opponent.
On June 2, 2024, NY HOTA Blue captured the Boys U17 Jose Vargas Cup at Stringham Park, LaGrange, with a 4–1 victory over Stony Brook LGN Storm Blue. Goals came from Danny Bonilla, Conor McCarthy, Erick Avelar, and Myles Watson, securing the title.
Coach Matt Chin acknowledged it wasn’t the team’s best performance but credited their effort and quality in finishing to clinch the championship.
On June 1, 2025, at Blue Sky Sports Complex in Middletown, NY HOTA Bavarians captured the Boys U17 State Open Cup with a dramatic shootout win over Stony Brook LGN Wildlings. After a 2–2 draw through regulation and overtime, HOTA prevailed 3–1 on penalties. Goals in regulation came from Will Fogarty and Will Gleason.
Coach Danny Diliberti credited the team’s determination and noted the victory was the culmination of a long-standing rivalry and a season-long goal.
The 2011 NY HOTA Bavarian Boys team clinched the Eastern New York Challenge Cup with a thrilling 3–2 win over Brooklyn Italians SC in Middletown. Goals came from Thomas Lloyd and Joe Sica (2), including a decisive finish set up by Davis McHugh’s pinpoint assist. Strong defensive performances from McHugh, Mick and JP McEvoy, Charlie Bayduss, Kellan Sweeney, and Jonathon Villalta helped secure the victory. Goalkeeper Fin Murray made several key saves to preserve the win.
Coach Jordan Russolillo’s leadership and focus on player development were central to the team’s championship run, capping off a season defined by determination, skill, and teamwork.
The 2007 Blue team had an incredible run at the 2021 USYS Eastern Regional Championship Series, advancing through group play with victories over the Maryland champions and New York West finalists.
