Eugenio (Chico) Mieles has a storied playing and coaching career both domestically and internationally. His playing career includes him being a four-year starting goalkeeper; his first two years were completed at Fulton Montgomery Community College where he was part of the 1979 National runner-up team. He then transferred and started for two years at St. John’s University. His professional career includes a four-year career with the Long Island Rough Riders, where he was a part of the 1995 National Championship team, and a seven-year career as part of the Puerto Rico National Team.
Chico has a USSF National level C license. His coaching career began in 1995 with the United State’s Olympic Development Program. He has been a part of numerous coaching staffs since that time, which have included club staff level positions, camps, elite regional, state, and academy programs, and personal training. He has coached in those positions domestically and internationally.
Chico currently serves as the lead goal keep trainer at NY HOTA Bavarian SC.
